Det var onsdag, tidlig i mai, og Molde hadde nettopp fått med seg NM-trofeet hjem fra hovedstaden. Samme dag ankom Michael og kona byen med cruiseskipet Celebrity Silhouette. Britene fikk selvfølgelig høre om helgas store prestasjon, og de måtte derfor ta turen innom Aker Stadion.

Mike ble den første som fikk ta bilde med NM-pokalen, og da ble han så rørt at han tok til tårene. Det hele toppet seg da han endelig fikk tak i Molde-drakta, som han bærer stolt ute på nye eventyr.

The story begins with my wife and I arriving in Molde on Celebrity Silhouette on the Wednesday in early May after you had won the cup. The ship tied up just outside the stadium and I knew of Molde FK because of Haaland and as a Leeds United fan, I remembered his father playing for the LUFC. We walked into the town where shops had window displays for the club and there were banners across the streets. This was a town really celebrating their club. We loved that. We went into the bank on the Main Street and asked what had just happened. They were very proud of the club that they sponsor. We tried to buy a shirt and walked out to a shopping centre with a sports shop. No shirts available. They had sold out of all merchandise because of the cup!

So, no shirt to buy! We returned to the ship and I decided to go back ashore and try to take photos of the stadium. Whilst I was doing that, I found the main entrance and was warmly welcomed by staff, including Lars. I asked if they had shirts but they also had none left! I then discovered Lars and a colleague setting up a light box and unwrapping a box. It contained the Norway Cup! Wow! Photos were taken and I managed to buy a scarf and some glasses. They then presented me with the shirt that had been used in the tv studio in Oslo! Brilliant!

I decided to wear the shirt on my travels. On our voyage to Perth, Australia on Queen Elizabeth, I wore it and now, crossing the Nullabor desert! 

So, we continue our travels now to Sydney!
